‘WWYC’ is an interactive project for my Creative Coding class modeled after books and movies in which the reader or viewer can participate by choosing the action to take thereby influencing the outcome of the story. The story behind WWYC is based upon a simple question my partner and I often ask of the other – “what do you want to do today?” and after taking a selfie at home the question is do you want to go out and enjoy the world or stay in with the cats?
All photos are original work, and the project was designed and coded by me.
‘American History Q’ was the final project for my Creative Coding class and acts as a historical observation intended to honor and celebrate the lives of LGBTQIA members and their accomplishments prior to the Stonewall Inn riots. What I had intended to create was a game of queer trivia. When I began my research there was very little history readily available on the internet that predated the Stonewall Inn riots, and I don’t recall any of these historical events, figures or movements being taught in my elementary or high school history courses. Necessity forced me to purchase a couple books, visit my local library and read a few PDFs so that I may glean what I could from this often-omitted group.

It was then clear to me that I had to shift focus from a game to a lesson and use my skills to create something that was uplifting and empowering for my community.
This project was researched, designed and coded by me.
